Hydrated Lime is used as active mineral admixture or as a filler material to provide stiffness and density to the compacted bituminous or Asphaltic wearing course, The resemblance of Hydrated Lime with Dolomite Stone powder some times proves costly for highway engineers that often miss to check the intended material, here i have tried to give a simple trick to check it in field.
